Meet our Board and Staff
Interfaith Community Housing of Delaware builds, rehabilitates, and owns
or manages 240 housing units plus land in New Castle and Kent Counties.
We are now the largest statewide nonprofit community housing organization
in Delaware. In addition, through the HomeOwnership Education Center, our
HUD-approved homeownership education and support programs for lower-income
families, we provide tools to help our clients on the road to homeownership.
We own and manage several rental properties, and we presently are in the
process of developing several new properties for sale.

Hilltop
Downtown Wilmington
ICHDE is renovating several single-family row homes and has one currently
remaining for sale with several soon to be completed. One just recently
sold on West 2nd Street
West Center City
Downtown Wilmington
ICHDE is renovating several single-family row homes and has three currently
for sale with several soon to be completed. One just recently sold on
West Fifth Street.
Dunleith
New Castle
ICHDE is renovating 2 single-family homes and has three currently for
sale. Construction currently underway and anticipated completion scheduled
for Summer 2008.
Southbridge
Wilmington
ICHDE is building 13 new single-family row homes. Construction is underway
and anticipated completion between spring of 2008 and spring of 2009.

For Rent
Interfaith also owns and manages several multi-family housing developments
in and throughout the city of Wilmington, New Castle, Newport, Claymont,
and Milford, Delaware. Many of these developments have undergone recent
renovations and provide affordable housing for many of Delaware’s
residents.

HomeOwnership Education Center
The HomeOwnership Education
Center offers a variety of services such as:
• Help with Managing Your Money
• Assistance with Improving Your Credit Rating
• Personal Credit and Financial Education
• Individual Development Accounts (IDA's)
• First-Time Home Buyer Training
• Learning How to Protect Your Investment
• Obtaining small loans for down payment and closing costs
These services are designed to help our clients prepare for home ownership
and protect their investment once they’ve acquired their home. In
addition, our personal credit and financial education services can assist
individuals who need credit repair and/or may be in danger of bankruptcy.
